DISASTERS



Spread: to (cause to) be distributed over an area of space or time
Roof: the outside, upper covering of a building
Drown: to (cause to) die from being put under water
Lead to: to go before or with to show the way;
Shocked: a sudden disturbance of the mind or the feelings, due to something unpleasant and unexpected
Fighting: an angry argument or disagreement
Smoke: the visible vapor and gases given off by a burning substance.
Be unable to: lacking the necessary power, ability, competence, time, etc., to accomplish some act:
Break out: to begin or arise suddenly
First aid kit: to provide support (for) or relief (to)
Malting rod: a building in which malt is made or stored
Lighting: a brilliant flash in the sky, caused by an electric spark in the atmosphere, occurring within one thundercloud, between clouds, or between a cloud and the ground.
Ash cloud: the gray or black powdery matter that remains after burning
Drifting: a driving movement, as of a current of water
Stranded:  to drive or run onto a shore.
